This trail head features an old pier timber seat, new boulders, an info shelter AND... A BRAND NEW BIKE REPAIR STAND!
Finding yourself a little lost after forgetting to bring your tools with you to Lysty? Worry no more! We have our first ever Bike Repair Stand in the park now installed at Mahogany Car Park! 🙌😀🤘🎉
This bike repair stand is free to use for everyone in the community and was wholly funded by LDTR through club donations, club memberships LDTR Skills sessions and race profits!
It features a bunch of necessary and useful bike tools, as well as a spot to hang up your bike!
This stand is being set up as a trial. **Treat it like you need it and don't abuse it/ruin it for everyone else*
Obviously there'll always be that one selfish thorn among the berries who will try to damage the stand or steal the tools, but we're hoping the community can stay alert and acknowledge that this is set up to help everyone. If we see this stand relish among the trees, you might just see a couple more repair stands grow among the trees throughout the park.
Today the local volunteers helped the rangers put in the final touches. Works will be finished next week.
