LDTR Trail Build/Maintenance Video

Sometimes referred to as 'Trail fairies', LDTR trail build volunteers are the heart and soul of maintenance and progress of the mountain bike trails at Lysterfield Park and are usually unrecognised by the general public outside of their yellow LDTR shirts..

Watch the video below to tag along and meet a few of the volunteer trail build crew from last weekend's build.

Roughly 8-15 LDTR volunteers head out into the park once a month to complete maintenance or build trails that have been approved by Parks Victoria. Tasks regularly include blocking off b-lines, drainage, hazards removal, feature rebuilds, new trail building, rockwork, weed removal and much more.

The team of vols head out usually on a Saturday or Sunday for about 5-7 hours of physical work, followed by a relaxed BBQ and refreshments while having a chat.

How can I support the club?

It's easy to help support the club. You can contribute by either donating money to the club, becoming a member with the club, or by volunteering your time at our races or at our trail builds.

All of the money goes back into running events, upgrading the trails and working towards making the park one of the greatest mountain biking locations in the world. All donations are greatly appreciated and we make sure each dollar is spent wisely.
