Join us for a relaxed social ride on Lysterfield's beautiful mountain bike trails. We ride in 2 groups, so regardless of your ability and fitness, this is the ride for you.
Are you new to the sport, or wanting to get back into it after a few years away? Whether you’ve never ridden a mountain bike before, or you love wide dirt trails but don’t have the confidence to attempt narrower trails with roots and tighter corners, the BEGINNERS group may be for you.
Are you loving Lysterfield’s blue rated singletrack but are itching for a social adventure? Sign up with the INTERMEDIATE group. This is suitable for riders comfortable on a variety of singletrack which might include mud, loose rocks, narrow trails tightly lined with trees and small obstacles. There will be some hills to go up, so bring your gears and a moderate level of fitness to handle approximately 400m of climbing.
Time & Place: Please enter via Horswood Road, drive through the gates and turn right at the roundabout into the MTB carpark, then turn right. We meet at the map sign at the top of this carpark. Join us on the 4th weekend of the month (alternates Sat/ Sun) at 9.15am.
Duration: Approx 2hrs riding. Join us post ride for a cuppa and to share in some of Zoe's world famous cupcakes. We love to hang out and share some tall tales about our adventures.
Please bring: your mountain bike in safe working order, helmet, spare tube, drinking water and snack. For post ride refreshments, please BYO mug, and you're welcome to bring a little something to share (but no obligation!).
FREE, but you must register online. Optional Recreation permit provides you with public liability and personal accident cover for the event. $10/day for Non-MTBA member.
Recreation day permits are available for purchase with your online rego for the ride. If you choose not to purchase a Recreation Permit you WILL NOT be covered by insurance and you participate at your own risk.
