DATE & TIME: 8:30am, Saturday 18th March 2017
MEETING: Parks Vic Depot (Just above Skills Park)
Trailscapes (professional trail builders) will spend the morning teaching and instructing us on how to correctly carry out maintenance and build using hand tools. This build is still free and available to anyone who wants to help volunteer. We will be gaining knowledge on how to build berms, drains, grade reversals etc in certain areas around the park. If you have ever wanted to learn some techniques or understand more about the standards around trail building, this day may be of interest to you.
The maintenance we will be carrying out will still be of benefit to the park.
BRING: Water, food, shovel (we do have some in the PV trailer), good shoes (preferably steel capped) and appropriate clothing for weather.
Please let us know if you're attending by replying on this forum thread (so we can organise tools and food etc).
If you have any questions, please ask away.
BBQ and cold drinks provided for free to volunteers at the end of the build.
BYO food if you have any special food requirements.
Hope to see you there.
