State MTB Course Climb Closed This Weekend

Please note that the State MTB Course Trail Climb will be Closed both days this weekend from 8:30am until Sunday at approx 2pm. Please see the below map for an alternative path. This is due to our trail build and maintenance works on this section of the climb which will require no riders coming through during this period so that we can focus on fixing the issues in this area as best we can This is also due to our volunteer safety when the build is occurring. There will be signage and tape CLEARLY showing that the track is closed. Please obey the closure for your safety and ours. Cheers, LDTR.

Lysterfield Park Works Starting Next Week

Please be aware that there will be works starting next week to repair and upgrade several of Lysterfield Park and Churchill National Park’s shared user trail/management vehicle tracks and car parks which were damaged by the 2016 storms. This will involve contractor works to improve drainage, regrade and resurface trails, dredging the boat ramp and re-edging sections of damaged car parks. Left unchecked the damaged trails will continue to deteriorate and further erode – Snipe Track and the Valley View Track climb to Trig Point are examples of this where we’ve seen severe erosion since 2016. LDTR Trail Build - Follow Me - Pics and Summary

Thank you to the 12 volunteers who contributed 70+ volunteer hours today on the trail build along Follow Me. Some of the berms were extended to improve the ride quality. Existing double rollers were converted to a gap jump and drainage was also added and improved. ​ A majority of timber from existing features were removed and replaced with rock and cohesive material.
