We had a hard working crew of 14 volunteers who gave up a beautiful morning to help contribute to making the trails at Lysterfield awesome! What we achieved in one build: Pictures Here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/Lysterfieldmtb/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1335977556439435 REDGUM TRAIL: - Lots and lots of drained cleared. - A lot of unnecessary B lines blocked off. - Hazardous PVC pipes removed from the trail which were poking out in the middle of the trail. MIDDLE TRAIL: - A LOT of drainage along the whole track. - B line blocked off next to gravel tabletop, new b line made clearer and tabletop re shaped. - Gravel placed before boardwalk to create smoother transition ontop. - Drainage cleare
CALLING FOR VOLUNTEERS: LDTR are calling for volunteers to assist with the running of Round 2 of the VES - Golden Goat Challenge.
We need people for the following roles:
- Parking attendants
- Course Marshall at key junctions
- Timing assistants to work with timing providers
- Course set up
- Course pull down If you are willing to assist please go the the below link and register your preference for assistance.

Trail Build/Maintenance Day
DATE & TIME: 8:00am, Saturday 13th May 2017
MEETING: Parks Vic Depot (Just above Skills Park)
We will be working on trails that will be used for the VES race the next weekend. A lot of the day will be spread out over a few trails and will mainly be drainage works.
BRING: Water, food, shovel (if you prefer your own shovel), good shoes (preferably steel capped) and appropriate clothing for weather.
Please let us know if you're attending by replying on this forum thread (so we can organise tools and food etc).
If you have any questions, please ask away.
BBQ and cold drinks provided for free to volunteers at the end of the build.
